while the GUI client is running, I have no way to find the information that I entered in the splash screen or that I provided on the command line

  • server, port, syntax, interpreter
  • my name
  • who is the "tidal master" (see feed back information from client? #53 )
In testing, where I have several clients running on one screen, the only way to find out who I am is to hit "cursor left/right" and to see which tag moves.

  • Name, server and port are all displayed in the window's title bar.
  • Name is also displayed next to the cursor
  • Only one Troop client per laptop is required so there shouldn't be a need to have multiple open on one screen so the labelled cursor should suffice
  • Not all sessions use a 'master' and all code is replicated across all clients so it shouldn't matter unless your versions of your interpreter are different and, in that case, you should ensure they are the same

Ah, again I am missing window decorations because of xmonad (I guess). (Because of the connection xmonad - Haskell - tidal, this could be a problem for other people as well?)

Could you perhaps make a screenshot of a Troop client window (as it's supposed to look) and put it someplace (here). Then I would have noticed.
