To improve the user experience and accommodate a wider range of devices, we need to update and refine the application's layouts. This includes introducing new layout designs and ensuring the interface is fully responsive.

Tasks

  • Design New Layouts
    • Ensure the contract can be selected from the header.
    • Create layouts to address specific needs (e.g., dashboard, user profile, or settings pages).
    • Ensure consistency with the application's existing design system and branding.
  • Implement Responsive Design
    • Use responsive frameworks or CSS techniques (e.g., media queries, flexbox, grid) to adapt layouts to various screen sizes.
    • Test responsiveness on multiple devices, including desktops, tablets, and smartphones.
  • Optimize Layout Performance
    • Minimize layout shifts and ensure smooth transitions.
    • Optimize assets (e.g., images, fonts) for faster loading on all devices.
  • Update Existing Layouts
    • Refactor current layouts to align with new design principles and improve flexibility.
  • Test Layout Functionality
    • Validate the usability and appearance of new and updated layouts across browsers and devices.
    • Ensure accessibility standards are met (e.g., ARIA roles, keyboard navigation, screen reader support).

Considerations

  • Prioritize mobile-first design principles to ensure optimal performance on smaller screens.
  • Use reusable components where possible to simplify future updates.
  • Document the layout structure and design guidelines for consistency in future development.
