Properly highlight splatting operator in quotes #1502

Issue Description

I am experiencing a problem with the highlighting of the splatting operator in quotes. Here is an example:
"Some text with @splatting"
This should be displayed with the normal color for quoted text, but instead is highlighted as variable, which is confusing.

I just realized there is another repo for this kind of issues. Can we move it there or should I recreate it?
