Light entitles "on/off" behavior #8
Comments
Same here, following this |
I ran into this as well. Also the light colors appear as black for most of my lights. |
You can switch a light if you add an icon to the entity. Then when you click on the icon it toggles. |
@Cadsters why that does work (it does have some oddities) its a different behavior from a switch entitle and not what I would think to be intuitive |
I've just released a new version that addresses this problem. Can you test your lights with it? As I only have a limited selection of lights available to test this on, I've added a form to view the raw state data of selected entities. Could you provide me with your specific case and how you'd like it to be rendered? |
I installed this application, added a light and few other entities, could do nothing with the light entity (turn on/off), decided this great project might have a long way to go, uninstalled it for now. By the way: once the light is turned on (not by this application), the entity background wents blue. Next to that, it really does absolutely nothing. |
Warning to everyone wondering about the email notification they just received about this PR containing an eth scam. Yes it's quite obviously a scam, do not click the contained links. Here's how a variant of it works:
Unfortunately there's not really much that can be done until github stops ignoring the issue. |
If you add a "light" element you can not turn on or off the light like you can a "switch". I can turn them on or off by adjusting the brightness but not all light are RGB or even have a brightness control.
