Rainbomizer 3.2

Bug Fixes and Improvements

  • Changed the randomization method for Handling Randomizer. It will now give each individual vehicle its own values randomized from other existing handling data, and will crash less. However, please note that this feature remains experimental.
  • Modified Object Randomizer so that it does not spawn massive objects that will block you from reaching mission objectives. It should now also randomize objects that must be destroyed for a mission into other destructible objects. However, please note that this feature remains experimental.
  • Added a config option for whether planes in Air Raid can fly or will instantly crash into the ground.
  • Fixed certain combinations of missions replacing the End Of The Line parts causing the game to crash.
  • Fixed a crash with some random vehicles in End Of The Line.
  • Fixed some helicopters not being enter-able when replacing the van in Life's A Beach.
  • Removed some vehicles replacing the forklift in Breaking The Bank At Caligula's that wouldn't spawn correctly.
  • Added a vehicle pattern for one of the bikes in Explosive Situation so one will always be usable for the intended route out of the quarry if the player wishes to use it.
  • Fixed some larger vehicles in Home Invasion being unusable.
  • Fixed a vehicle in Driving School that was missing a pattern.

Bug Fixes

  • Added a self-destruct key to New Model Army that can be used if your randomized vehicle gets stuck.
  • Fixed planes and helicopters on Cut Throat Business, as well as making it easier to keep up with OG Loc.
  • Increased the speed of planes in Air Raid so that Zero is killed less frequently.
  • CJ can now appear as a random ped.
  • The van in Outrider will no longer become an RC vehicle, as this softlocked the mission.
  • Improved weapon sprite and crosshair colour randomization.

Rainbomizer v3.0

New Features

  • Timecycle Randomizer which randomizes the weather and the timecycle settings, resulting in randomized colours of the sky, water, lighting, and other time-based elements.
  • Ped Randomizer that randomizes the appearance of every ped while maintaining their original behaviour. This includes all peds on the street, cops, gang members, and mission characters.
  • Player Randomizer, a re-working of Clothes Randomizer which allows CJ to randomize into other models as well as himself wearing different clothing.
  • Language Randomizer that randomizes language of text between other game languages.
  • Riot Randomizer that adds a chance for riot mode to randomly activate as you move between zones, which also includes randomization of Traffic Lights and their order and timing.
  • An experimental Animation Randomizer that shuffles every animation in the game (please note that this crashes regularly and should not be used for a normal playthrough).
  • Much greater variety of random mission vehicles added to all base game missions.
  • Trains spawned in missions are now randomized to different types of trains.
  • All vehicle-based sub-missions now give you random vehicles, and some can be started with any vehicle such as Courier and the NRG-500 Challenge.
  • Pickup Randomizer can now randomize drops from dead peds and other pickups beyond weapons like health and armour. Pickups can be randomized into various non-weapons like adrenaline pills, jetpacks, and bags of money.
  • Enhanced Weapon Randomizer and Pickup Randomizer to add more variety to randomization options, including full randomization of weapons used by the player during autoscrollers.
  • Generic ped dialogue from all peds (including CJ) is now randomized to a different type of line from that ped.
  • Some generic sound effects are randomized, such as those in the menu.
  • Colour Randomizer now randomizes a much greater variety of elements - as well as more parts of the HUD, this includes, lights, coronas, stars, clouds, and mission vehicles. It also can re-randomize every fade.
  • Traffic Randomizer can now randomize police roadblocks, scripted cop spawns, and gang cars in gang wars.

Bug Fixes and Improvements

  • Fixed Customs Fast Track not unlocking the Import/Export board.
  • Drug dealers now have random weapons.
  • The North Icon is now randomized with Blip Randomizer, and blips will now be visible while inside interiors.
  • All of the schools have had their code modified to make them more completable with slower vehicles. These changes can be disabled.
  • Several cases of mission vehicles being stuck when randomizing into large vehicles have been fixed by moving them or otherwise adding compatibility with the mission.
  • Moved triggers in Stowaway and Highjack to better match the provided randomized vehicles.
  • Moved peds attached to cars in several missions to not be stuck inside their randomized cars.
  • Pickups such as molotovs, cameras, and parachutes are now fully randomized outside of mission settings.
  • Breaking The Bank At Caligula's will now give you goggles and a usable explosive for blowing up the generators.
  • Planes in Air Raid can now successfully fly over the roof and drop bombs.
  • Missions that previously gave no money due to having no set value now give you a random amount up to the maximum reward.
  • Credits no longer crash if you have not completed all End Of The Line parts.
  • Key To Her Heart will no longer infinitely fail if you get it after having already killed or being dumped by Millie.
  • Fixed the Four Dragons intro cutscene interrupting and breaking random missions that take place there.
  • Carrying the vehicle in Up, Up, And Away! is no longer extremely slow or impossible with certain vehicles.
  • Fixed a crash that could occur in Interdiction and some other missions involving helicopters.
  • Added full support for the Chaos Mod's Pass Current Mission effect in Mission Randomizer.

Bug-fixing release for 2.0

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed DYOM Randomizer crashing the game
  • Fixed 4 stars on starting races in LV/SF with Mission Randomizer
  • Increased the variety of models that can be used to replace people in cutscenes. Adjusted the balance between proper cutscene models and broken-jawed ones so that both types of models have a pretty fair chance in the randomization process. (@The123robot)

Rainbomizer 2.1

New Features

  • A DYOM randomizer that loads a random mission from the DYOM website. (Requires the latest version of DYOM and CLEO to be installed).
  • A clothes randomizer that randomizes clothes every fade (when the screen turns black).
  • An experimental wanted level randomizer that randomizes the wanted level from crimes. You can also get negative chaos points, i.e you can lose wanted stars.
  • An experimental respawn point randomizer that puts you at a random location in map every time you get wasted or busted.
  • Rainbomizer credits can now be disabled from the config file.

Bug Fixes

  • Weapon Stats Randomizer: Updated weapon flag (by @SRewo) - Fixes several crashes while using the weapon stats randomizer.
  • Having a parachute in the inventory now no longer kills you on starting a mission.

Rainbomizer v2.0

New Features

  • A Mission Randomizer that randomizes which missions are started by a mission marker.
  • Colour Randomizer that randomizes colours for markers, HUD elements, car colours, fade-in/fade-outs, and more!
  • A Cutscene Randomizer that randomizes cutscene models and locations
  • Blips Randomizer to randomize the icons on the mini-map (includes beta and unused blips like MC Strap).
  • RC Bandit, RC Goblin, RC Raider and RC Tiger are now enter-able!
  • A message is now displayed upon completion of an auto-save.
  • A more random selection of vehicles for mission vehicles.
  • Rainbomizer files (logs and config) are now moved to rainbomizer/config.toml and rainbomizer/logs/, and the logs are now properly structured.
  • The patches will no longer apply on an incompatible version and will silently exit, printing a message to the log file.

Bug-fixes and Improvements

  • Softlocks caused by looping sounds are now fixed.
  • Outrider no longer crashes on start.
  • You now get Tear Gas in Breaking the Bank at Caligula's and a parachute in Stowaway.
  • Car Generators are no longer permanently saved in the save file.
  • Photo Opportunity no longer leaves the player stuck inside a building.
  • General stability of the mod has been increased making crashes less common.
  • Phone calls and alarm sounds now properly play when randomized.
  • Catalina can now use the given weapon in Small Town Bank.
  • Air Raid now properly switches to the Minigun with the Weapons Randomizer.
  • Weapon Randomizer now properly replaces the original player weapon in a mission.
  • Weapon Randomizer no longer leaves the player with infinite ammo after End of the Line and Reuniting the Families.

Experimental New Features

  • An experimental Object Randomizer that randomizes objects spawned by the script (Like the boxes in Home Invasion).
  • An experimental Particles Randomizer that randomizes particle effects in-game. This includes effects like fire, spray paint, gunshots and more.
  • An experimental Weapon Statistics Randomizer that randomizes the damage dealt by weapons, their fire-rate, range and other statistics.

Weapon Randomizer is now enabled by default.

You will need to update the rainbomizer.toml file to get the update to work properly

New Features

  • Weapon Randomizer is now stable!
  • Autosaving is implemented for all missions that increase the player's progress and each of the End of the Line parts.

Bug Fixes

  • Crash fixes for Badlands and Desert related to Police Bikes.
  • Planes without landing gears no longer blow up in Freefall, Saint Mark's Bistro and Landing Test in Flight School
  • Script Patterns have been updated to make Cut Throat Business and several other missions easier.
  • Fixed Outrider crash
  • Fixed crash on startup without CLEO.

Known Issues

  • Looping sounds cause a soft-lock in dialogue-dependent missions.
  • Handling and Weapon Randomizers are experimental and unstable and can cause crashes/softlocks.
