v3.0.0 of the paloaltonetworks.panos collection as was released on August 1st, 2022 failed to be released properly to Ansible Galaxy. The upload hung for over 6 hours, and the build was assumed to have failed. A second attempt to release the updated collection was attempted, this time as v2.10.0, which succeeded. At some point after this, the v3.0.0 upload somehow finished. Because of how Ansible Galaxy always shows the highest version of the collection as opposed to the most recently uploaded, this v3.0.0 has been hiding the most recent updates to the panos collection since then. An outstanding ticket with RedHat to remove v3.0.0 has existed for months, as there is no ability to remove releases from Galaxy on our end.
If you have installed the Aug 1st, 2022 v3.0.0, you are running v2.10.0 in all but name, and are missing out on numerous bug fixes and features added to the collection since then.
