Firstly, thank you for using the Orchestrator and for your suggestion!

A feature is a piece of new functionality, either for convenience, or to enable certain groups of users to achieve something they couldn't achieve before. When requesting a feature:

  • Ensure you label your feature request with the "feature" label.

  • Include who the feature is for. This could be:

    • The operator (person at the Orchestrator console)

    • The application submitter (person submitting the XML)

    • System administrator (person interacting with the Orchestrator, but not necessarily at run time)

    • Orchestrator developer (person working on the Orchestrator)

    • Other people I've missed

  • Describe what problem the feature would solve

A bug is an unexpected or undesirable behaviour encountered when interacting with the Orchestrator or its setup. When requesting a bug:

  • Describe the observed behaviour

  • Include:

  • The Git revision, or tag (anything that allows us to uniquely identify the source)

  • Any source changes you have made

  • A description of the actions performed to elicit the unexpected behaviour (attaching any relevant input files)

  • A screenshot or dump of the console, if appropriate

  • All micrologs from that session

  • What you suspect the problem is related to, if appropriate
