Error dependency not satisfiable: pdftk #341
Comments
Can anyone shed any light on this? Is there something obvious I have forgotten to do? It would be really convenient to be able to use the Linux version because it's not so stable using Wine. |
Please try to install this version: also install pdftk from here: https://gitlab.com/pdftk-java/pdftk as specified in the README. |
Hi Daniele,
I *really* appreciate your help. But the github link is for a hotfix. How do I use it? I am somewhat new to Linux, so I know how to install programs, but I don't know what to do with the files in the github link.
I installed the pdftk you sent successfully.
Best,
Julia

You're right the link was wrong. The correct link is here: https://github.com/OpenNingia/l5r-character-manager-3/releases/download/v3.12_fix_localization/l5rcm-3.12.159-1_all.deb You should be able to install this .deb file as any other program ( i.e. using your OS application installer, double-clicking, etc... ) |
I tried the new link and it still didn't work. I checked over the pdftk readme you linked in the previous email. It said something about the current version of pdftk-java being for versions of Ubuntu >= 18.10 (I had already tried the older version of pdftk-java in the readme), so I spent the day upgrading from the stable Ubuntu version to 19.04. Then I deinstalled L5RCM and pdftk and pdftk-java, then reinstalled from the last email you sent the link to L5RCM and also installed from the Terminal pdftk-java
I tried to run L5RCM again, and it still doesn't load. I click on the icon, and then it shows a minimized bar at the top with a "loading" icon, which disappears after a few seconds. And that's it. Do you have any other ideas of what could be wrong here?

Can you try the last v3.15 version? I added |
I am trying to install L5RCM after switching to Linux (in my case Ubuntu) and keep getting ” Error: dependency is not satisfiable: pdftk ” despite having installed pdftk from the software manager. I am using GDebi for the installation, which in theory should work…
