Description of the issue

I have taken a closer look at the Units Ontology. Here there is for example the property "has prefix", why is this not to be found in the OEO? The OEO imports the Units Ontology completely or was a previous version of the Units Ontology imported?

Ideas of solution

Recheck the Units Ontology. If things are missing, import them into the OEO.

Workflow checklist

  • I discussed the issue with someone else than me before working on a solution
  • I already read the latest version of the workflow for this repository
  • The goal of this ontology is clear to me

I am aware that

  • every entry in the ontology should have a definition
  • classes should arise from concepts rather than from words

From a separate use case, the unit "kilo ton" was requested. This should be considered when updating the UO import.

I very much like the new structure that was adopted in the UO which added an intermediary layer of X-based unit, see this screenshot.

This structures the units much better. But importing this means that we need to restructure all lot of the OEO-defined units. This will be some work. Not difficult, but some tedious work to move a lot of classes.
