Sometimes, the name of the gene does not equal the name of the protein it is translated to, or the protein is known under several names. E.e., the gene "ABCB1" codes for the protein known as "P-gp", but also "MDR".
Proposal is to add an additional column to "Protein selection" (which should be renamed to "Gene selection") that would list all alliases the gene is known by (in the database).
