master branch supports Jira 5/6. Jira 8 is the LTS: https://confluence.atlassian.com/jirasoftware/jira-software-release-notes-776821069.html

We should:

  1. Merge code from jira7 into master and overwrite jira 5/6 code.
  2. We may tag the old code with jira6 tag, for example.
