This issue is unique.

  • I have used the search tool and did not find an issue describing my bug.

Operating System of DocumentServer

Windows Server

Version information

8.1.3.4

Expected Behavior

A template (Letter header) I have created in a previous version of OO (7.5) now does not work correctly in 8.1.3.
Template in MS Word
Template in OO

Actual Behavior

I have created a template to use with a textbox on the side. Since I have updated to 8.1.3.4 the Textbox is no longer there.

Attached is an example. The template opened in MS Word shows the textbox on the right hand side. When I open this in OO it is not there.
I also have a template where there is a placeholder in the textbox on the side. When I use it and the placeholder is filled with data, the placeholder is moved to the top of the document.

Unfilled Template
Filled Template

Attached are 2 screenshots showing the template before it is filled with data and after.

Reproduction Steps

  1. Create Header Template using previous version 7.5.
  2. Insert Textbox on side (after testing with a number of different templates, we assume the issue lies with the text boxes inserted on the side.)
  3. Open template using most recent version of OO (8.1.3)

Additional information

We have done extensive testing. We tested created a template in MS Word and opening it with the newest version of OO. However, this did not cause any issues.
