This is technically intended behaviour, since when the team doesn't exist, the game doesn't consider them to have a bed. I'm not sure it really makes sense for it to be possible to break beds of teams that don't exist at all?

I should have been more precise, sorry:
What happens is that all teams get a bed like usual, and when the player tries to break one of them, the chat gets the message " was destroyed by " and sounds are sent to the player like usual

Will the game autostart if there is only one player, or is this due to players leaving?

The game autostarts when there's only one player, but I think it also requires to have only this player on the entire server
