Questions about whether to try in-person, hybrid or fully online, how that works in our setting where we are spread across sites, the logistics are on us

Questions about budget support - shift in assumptions that trainers offer workshops as a natural part of their day jobs, to explicitly needing to cover their time with funding.

Segues into the recent NERC training grants and what happens institutionally when grants cover less than 100% costs.

What are the next step actions coming out of this discussion?

• our RSE group as a whole needs to discuss what we'd like to do next (offer workshops, or host a talk) and thus what kind of input or support from SSI
• we need a means of divining what the needs are
• ideally we need to find a way to get a budget for instructor training
• "applying for grants, in the future, in a way that benefits UKCEH to offer more Carpentries workshops specifically" (while avoiding stepping on the toes of the commercial offering)
