Problem: I could trigger this error by disconnecting the internet on the background console, and then trying to create a transaction.

Steps:

  1. Open MM
  2. Open background console
  3. Go to Network tab
  4. Disconnect the internet
  5. Go on MM
  6. Click Send ETH
  7. Prepare a tx
  8. Open Gas fees editor
