It would be nice to have an option to have long image file previews automatically scroll sideways just like the menus do.

Execllent idea. I have a few longer banner style bmps, a preview can be useful.

Feature added. I also just uploaded new code that makes the sideways scrolling much faster. About twice on some samples I tried.
