I have searched the issue tracker for open and closed issues that are similar to the feature request I want to file, without success.
I have searched the documentation for information that matches the description of the feature request I want to file, without success.
This issue contains only one feature request.
Problem Description
My phone's auto rotation is not that good and I would like FreeTube to auto rotate even when Auto-Rotate is set to off in the Android Quick Settings. (Like for example VLC player does)
Proposed Solution
I would like FreeTube to automatically rotate the screen and enter Fullscreen if a video is played and the phone is rotated. Preferably this only happens when a video is played, not an audio or when doing anything other like searching.
It would probably be best to have a toggle for that behavior in the player settings.
Alternatives Considered
I could also keep tapping the manual rotate button of Android which is a bit annoying.
Issue Labels
new optional setting
Additional Information
I noticed that the described behavior is possible when using VLC player on Android, I am not sure how much work it would be or if it's also possible on FreeTube
