FFmpeg hanging when configuring

There is currently a bug when configuring the ffmpeg libraries: one test loops indefinitely.

A workaround is to open up Activity Monitor, go to the Xcode app and go down until you get to a process called ffconf.xxxx, where the x's could be anything. Tell it to quit using Activity Monitor; you may have to force quit it.
