Hi everyone,

My name is Luna and I am currently in the third year of my undergraduate at the University of Queensland. I am studying a Bachelor of Advanced Science, majoring in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology and minoring in Computational Sciences, with my electives filled with software engineering courses. I have a solid background in biochemistry, organic chemistry and software development, with the aim to head into a career in research software engineering once I graduate. I am really hoping to work with MDAnalysis for GSoC, as a great step for me in that direction and a chance to give back to a package that I use weekly for biological systems simulation analysis. I am a RA at Megan O'Mara's lab at AIBN, UQ, where my role is primarily in developing scripts to automate system setup, running and analysis for Honours and PhD students who do not have as strong a background in coding. I met @hmacdope through my supervisor and he introduced me to GSoC and suggested working with MDAnalysis, so I am currently working on a PR to update the HydrogenBondAnalysis class!
