I'm one code noob trying to contribute to Multiblocked.
I tried to backport some bug fixes from the 1.18 branch and trying to add some new features to avoid some annoying issues. I have tested the changed version and till now no serious issue has been discovered yet. Please review these changes and merge my pull request if you think these changes are appropriate.
