Mobile port?

The idea is to port this app to Android and/or iOS for mobile and/or tablet users.

I myself was a happy user of PixaPencil, but recently it was abandoned.

For now there's no hope of any active forks, and it already was not quite feature rich.

But LibreSprite is almost fully feature-complete pixelart suite.

So... mobile port?

It may work quite good in join with Godot for Android (which still has to solve some UX issues, but is already guite usable on the phone).

Thank you. But I'd prefer to have a FOSS solution.

Another benefit of porting LibreSprite in particular would be having a consistent UI/UX between the platforms.

A great FOSS pixel editor is PixelC. I still don't know the best way to edit the same files with both PixelC and LibreSprite, but I'm sure it can be done through spritesheets and maybe a bit of scripting.

If you go for non FOSS, try Pixly. It can save to .anim, so what you draw on your Android can be edited on LibreSprite (or with any editor, with a bit of work). I'd stay away from PixelStudio if you plan to sync or have access to your own files, they use Google Drive for syncing and it's a mess.

And yes, I've spent far too much time searching for FOSS pixel art editors.
