Readme needs a description of what it does.

We have been referring to this link from various websites, documents, grant proposals, etc. I would urge to include a couple of sentences to describe what this tool does right at the top until you guys have a publication to refer to. Perhaps a link to Anne's video tutorial will be a nice addition too.
Something like,
"Genotype Comparison Visualization Tool (GCViT):
It extracts information from VCF file and does a parallel comparison between two or more lines within that VCF file plotting the location of these differences on the chromosome for visualization.
One can plot the differences between progeny and its parents to identify which regions are inherited from which parents. .... .... ....
