Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
It'd be cool to make gifs using this.

Describe the solution you'd like
Use a library. I honestly don't really care about how the gif file format works under the hood.

Describe alternatives you've considered
shudders 😬 doing it manually

Additional context
This is actually one of the oldest feature requests.
