Extract Full Device Profile

Hi,

We are working in a workflow where we will temporarily get a device before it is moved to its permanent home off our network.

However, we will still need to be able to view the Ember profile / tree so that we can configure some of our systems correctly ready for when the systems also move to the new location.

I think ideally we would like to be able to have it so that we can extract the necessary information from the device so that we can run it up in TinyEmber.

Is there a way that we can extract the full profile and/or full XML tree from the device while it is still with us?

Our thoughts were that we could either:

• Just have the full tree in an XML format so that we can read it manually
• Have the device profile so that we can run it up with TinyEmber, that way we can
  • Interact with it as if it was here, using our system
  • View it with the EmberViewer
