Better support for connecting/saving multi-site and MVC instances

Expected result

Right now, most reports don't have much awareness of multi-site instances nor MVC sites. We need to evaluate which parts of the tool need to be changed to better support these scenarios.

Additional context

Some questions to address:

• How do saved connections need to be updated to support multi-site and MVC configurations?

• Should reports always operate in the context of a single site?

  • How would it be selected?

• How do traditional sites differ from MVC sites for the purpose of reports?
