OB-Xd presets have no effect

I'm running on Raspbian Bullseye. I've tried in both Carla and in Ardour 7. The OB-Xd plugin was able to detect my banks and presets file. The host's plugin config even lists all the presets a available in the bank, but selecting from the presets lists does not make any changes on the actual parameters.
