Submitting the disc id through the browser should let you directly retry submitting isrcs

Hm, it doesn't save much. Only that you don't have to read the CD twice.

But it also shouldn't be too difficult to implement. Not high on my TODO though. There are more important things to implement in musicbrainzngs.

Well, it also means that you can be fairly certain that if a disc is returned on the second try that it's the users disc which saves another (does this info match your release?) question.
