Opening new terminal window moves focus to last active terminal window on a different desktop / space

What is the issue?

opening new terminal windows with OpenInTerminal moves focus to the last active terminal window in a different desktop / space

How does one reproduce the issue?

• use iTerm2
• create Desktop 1 and Desktop 2
• open a terminal window on Desktop 2 and focus on it with OpenInTerminal
• move to Desktop 1
• open a terminal window on Desktop 1 with OpenInTerminal

then focus moves to the terminal window on Desktop 2 first; the desired terminal window is opened in Desktop 1, as can be confirmed by switching back to Desktop 1
