Reorganized the fetch functions in apiServices.js to use a single fetchPublishers function, thereby reducing code duplication and enhancing maintainability. Also updated how the message ID is derived based on the provider, leading to improved display in MessagePage. Enhanced the pagination display, and revamped the code for generating tag lists for active messages, adding flexibility and ensuring display only when the active message is defined.
Improved the layout and user experience of the MessagePage. CSS updates were made to improve the overall layout, focus typographic styles and link behaviors. The process of displaying messages, especially when the fetched data is missing or null, has been improved to present a clear message rather than an error. Further, the formats used for displaying Message ID have been revised to cater for different providers, enhancing the application's robustness. The tagList generation has been refactored for better readability and performance which should aid future debugging and maintenance efforts.
Adjusted the 'constructURL' function to exclude empty strings as parameters, improving the URL construction process. Added console log to monitor the generated url during debugging for better traceability. Commented another console log that was outputting mixed arrays for potential efficiency gain in routines where it's unused.
In 'apiServices.js', modified the 'arrayMixer' function to ensure balanced output elements from two arrays, with a target of 10 items, optimizing the distribution logic to accommodate lists of different lengths. Adjusted subsequent functions to align with these changes. Updated pagination text and message display text in 'MessagePage.js' to improve user experience. Additionally, expanded 'MessageContext' to store 'totalMessages' for more comprehensive data management.
