JabRef version

Latest development branch build (please note build date below)

Operating system

Windows

Details on version and operating system

JabRef 5.4--2021-10-23--9dbdf13 Windows 10 10.0 amd64 Java 16.0.2 JavaFX 17.0.0.1+1

Checked with the latest development build

  • I made a backup of my libraries before testing the latest development version.
  • I have tested the latest development version and the problem persists

Steps to reproduce the behaviour

  1. Open Library > Library Properties
  2. Select Keep original order or Use current table sort order
  3. Hit OK
  4. Now every time you re-open Library Properties and hit OK without changing anything, the selected save order will switch between Keep original order and Use current table sort order in an odd manner

Hey @Siedlerchr thanks for the quick response, I just checked Options > Preferences > Import and Export and it has the same problem

That is plausible, as the panel is reused in the library and in the preferences.
SaveOrderConfigPanel is the starting point here and the booleanPropertys which are set with values.
I recently had also an issue with boolenProperty and radio buttons, turned out that both values need to be set (e.g one needs to be true, the other needs to be explicitly set to false), don't know if this is the case here or the values are stored/read in wrong order
