Describe the solution you'd like
i think it would be useful to add more details on what the dots represent in ggdotplotstats(). E.g. in the vignette they seem to represent the average cty by manufacturer but there isn't a 95% CI around it which made me doubt if this was an estimate or a constant.
How could we do it?
Allow for the addition of 95% CIs or standard errors around the pointwise estimates
Can we plot cty by manufacturer after controlling for the effects of year? Perhaps one could residualize out the impact of year and then plot cty_res_year againstmanufacturer
