Is there a way to modify the whisker portion of ggbetweenstats? For example, right now, it is unclear if that is plotting the interquartile range or the 95% CI around the central estimate. Thanks!

There isn't any way to modify this. In the Tukey-style box-and-whisker plot, the length of whiskers display 1.5 * IQR.
