It may happen that a service appears multiple times in the discover tab or the catalog view. We should have a way to present different services as one to the user. Following use cases come to mind:

  1. I had to rename a service because the name exceeded the max. allowed characters (63)
  2. Once the dynamic sidecar takes over, we will potentially have two versions of all services and the user will see the latest version of the old ones and the current dynamic one.
