Currently investigating 3 strategies:

  • windows-based transparency of chromium view overlayed on native 3D view
  • offscreen rendering of UI (via CEF) into buffer, and then compositing on top of 3D view with our rendering engine
  • CEF-based transparency (requires CEF version 120 or later, which in turn requires MSVC 2022 toolkit)
