During our data wrangling process, we worked with different forms of data sets trying to visualize them using R-Instat. Some of these data sets worked nicely, however, others were too large i.e large number of variables with and without labels. Some of which the variable names were too long. It was a bit challenging working with too many variables and with no labels from a single data frame i.e the procurement data set from Uganda (.CSV) file.
We thought working with these variables could have been easier if;
There was a search feature linked to the selector so that you just search the names of the variables you would want to use.
We would like to know if with R-Instat there could be a way in which we can shorten the variable names without having to do it manually as well as an easy way of adding labels.
We again realized that it was quite easy working the.csv files since most of the factor variables have been defined even when loaded into R-Instat. Could there be an improvement to the SPSS and Stata formats sot that the variables are defined when loaded into R-Instat?
