For a while now we've supported emojis in chat by typing things like . This is great for power users but not discoverable for most people. If you are on a mobile device, your keyboard has this built in. On desktop there is a system emoji menu, but it is still not a commonly known thing. Most apps include a emoji picker to solve this discoverability problem. We should add our own emoji picker to the chat sidebar that lets you pick emojis to use in chat.
