exactly as the title says when I try to connect to twitch it responds with twitch: improperly formatted auth I don't know what I am doing wrong or is this is a bug if you need anything from me let me know.

Unless Twitch changed the API again (possible) it should work without any username/OAuth. Try leaving those two boxes blank and just entering a channel name. The only reason you need a User/OAuth is if you don't want to increase the viewer count by 1, which seems to be a huge issue for some people 🤷

If that doesn't work let me know and I'll see if I can look into the latest Twitch API to fix whatever conflict they've created.

If that works, it may be your credentials are incorrect. You can get your OAuth here - this is a password for your account, but has limited permissions, so it's safer to use in places where it can be accepted. When you enter it in, make sure to include the full OAuth including the "oauth:" part of the password.
