My cpu is core i5 7th gen, which is Kaby lake rather than one of the three cpus mentioned in the articke, can I build and run quartz successfully?
Besides, can I run quartz in a virtual machine with linux OS?

Did you try this out? I'm currently having the same issues. If you had any alternatives could you share? Thank you in advance

Sorry to reply now, I noticed your question just now. I didn't slove this and I used another method to simulate NVM env. You can search FAST-FAIR in the Github, you can use the code to simulate NVM.
https://github.com/zeus-cht/FAST_FAIR. Note that I'm not the author of this resipository, I just fork that, you can get the original resipository by searching "FAST-FAIR".
