I am myself quite confused on the different versions of weighted variance, but I was wondering whether I believe matrixStats::weightedVar implements only frequency weights, not reliability, is that correct?
In that case, it seems it would be useful to specify this in the doc, and in particular making clear that matrixStats::weightedVar is identical as Hmisc::wtd.var as long as normwt=FALSE (frequency weights?), but would differ if normwt=TRUE!?
Thanks!
