Both articles mention the setup of a concrete measuring architecture, stuff like a "green-index" and also machine learning models that are able to separate energy consumption of code from the hardware.
For the green-index I would be extremely happy to start a discussion somewhere what this exactly is, as the article is quite short about it. Also where the code can be seen etc.
For the ML model the question arises how such a thing would ever be decoupled from the hardware as the trained model would behave quite different if the input data comes from a different hardware.
I would understand if the companies do not want to share details about any of these, but then the question comes to mind why the Green Software Foundation would publish such an article in the first place, as I guess the mission of the Foundation is promoting Green Software at least to the extent where people really understand and can reproduce the claimed saving / effects.
Hope this will spur some interesting discussions as well :)

However I have found myself recently been with a lot of open questions and wish for discussion after for instance reading:
