Environment variables w/ NGINX

Problem.
Some environment variables have to be set for both the environment, as well as NGINX configuration. This leads to annoying situations where you have to update an docker image, simply because you forgot to set a variable in both places.

Ideas:

• https://linuxhint.com/nginx-use-environment-variables/. Note: haven't gotten this to work yet.
• Use regex-replace on extra-nginx.conf?
• Create a separate nginx container, instead of including it in the flask container.

Note: the aforementioned options 1 and 3 together could for the solution to this issue.
