Guidelines

  • I have searched the documentation for information that matches the description of the feature request I want to file, without success.

Problem Description

I keep thumbnails disabled in NewPipe because sometimes they distract/annoy me. I would like to see something like NewPipe's "Load Thumbnails" or Invidious "Compact Mode" on FreeTube.

Proposed Solution

A button to enable/disable thumbnails.

Alternatives Considered

None

Issue Labels

new feature, new optional setting, visual improvement

Additional Information

This would also help with lower end devices such as some running FreeTubeCordova or pinephones

This feature has been available on browser addons for some time. Visual cues are the no.1 way to draw your attention, so it would be a shame not to add it.

@TheGoodSimian this was added over a year ago btw

It's in Settings > General > Thumbnail Preference (you can set it to either hidden or blur)

Oh, that's fantastic!
Thanks, and sorry for the irrelevant comment. I couldn't find it for the life of me.
