This add-on is coded in C++ and there is no way right now to test a C++ module without compiling the complete FreeCAD application. Moreover, the repository https://github.com/mumme74/FreeCAD is almost 2000 commits behind the official FreeCAD repository. It would make more sense to test on code not far from with v0.17 stable.
