Maybe make it open in a modal dialog instead of changing the page?
OR: Maybe make it a general QR button, which opens a popup menu, with "Scan QR", "Share my scouting results" (for scouters), and "Share assignments/metadata with scouters" (if logged in as a scouting lead). This would remove the need for the scouter sync page in the nav menu, and reduce the complexity of the lead sync page. (though it may be convenient to keep the "show QR" tab anyways, to reduce the # of button clicks?
