ChEBI achieves compliance with BFO via a bridging ontology (https://academic.oup.com/nar/article/41/D1/D456/1062873, ftp://ftp.ebi.ac.uk/pub/databases/chebi/ontology/). This means that we cannot make use (via automated means - namely Ontofox) of the alignment with BFO hierarchy. We should, however, check that our manual alignment matches with their published BFO alignment via their bridging ontology. As this is a manual process, it is also low priority.
