For the safe haven it would be useful to have a method of installing without network connections to PyPi etc.

Relates to #23 in that these binaries could then be used for package managers.

Latest update on this:

  • Everything seems ok apart from the registry installation, pyenv API has a bug where it assumes it is being called by Python, so when you use the binary it thinks the binary itself is Python.
  • Ran in Docker container fine apart from the above. I think for offline install the registry has to be installed by an alternative method.
