Need to define the scope of "automated tests"

Does it include PHP and JS tests? e2e tests, integration tests, visual regression tests?
Does this include a CI pipeline?

which frameworks are to be used? phpunit / brainmonkey, codeception,...playwright for e2e? what about visual regression tests framework?
