CFP 2111-21: DeFiChain Brave Campaign (13 800 DFI) #95
Comments
Great one let's do this! |
It will be 1 of these 3, right? no 1 has too few stocks in sight, to get the message straight. Being in sales & marketing for > 30 years I know it is extremely difficult to get a good advert created. We can only transport a limited amount of information, so this little must be chosen wisely. I would give the advert some more time to become „more to the point“ Should have more time spend on it than on the landing page! |
Hey Ads-007, If you look at other companies Brave ads, most of the images are quite dark and designed for gamers. For the campaign, we need all three images, but an order is set and one image gets more attention than the others. Yet, it's not decided which image will be the main image. We still have a little time until 12/28, we will maximize the quality of the campaign. Of course, it is desirable to run many Brave campaigns and then evaluate the various data to find out, which images work best. |

Overview
If you don't want to read the whole proposal, here is a short video: https://youtu.be/mcVziFw04_E
Describe the purpose
The DeFiChain Accelerator Team's idea is to establish a consistent level of marketing activities. We want to help create a constant level of noise and accelerate the adoption rate of DeFiChain. This includes smaller marketing measures like running social media ads or infographics, as well as bigger and more long-term brand awareness activities like influencers and PR. Some activities go beyond the available marketing budget though. As the Accelerator Team, we desire to offer the community not only small-scale and tactical marketing, but also the option to vote for bigger activities that promise higher rewards. We therefore specified this CFP to target a specific big scale marketing initiative.
With the funds of this CFP, we would like to run an ad campaign on the Brave browser. Specifically, a campaign that focuses on the features that come along with the Fort Canning update — Stocks and Loans.
Our slogan is: “Liquidity mine high APR stocks now”, but we are still figuring out the wording and may change it.
The Brave campaign would run for 24 hrs, giving it around 40-50 million impressions and an estimated 1 million clicks. Depending on the conversion rate, potentially thousands of people could download the DeFiChain light wallet and start trading stocks on DeFiChain!
Drive traffic to a landing page, aiming for 1 million clicks:
We have already created three visual examples of what the ad could look like. You can check them out here:
For the landing page we need some more time, but you can see our first mockup here: https://marvelapp.com/prototype/h8e5dfh/screen/83225081
More information around Brave:
Brave is a browser available on iOS, Windows, Android & Linux that focuses on user privacy and blocks online advertisements and website trackers by default.
It is essential to note that Brave’s user demographics are millennials and Gen Z, with 45% having a college degree, with 35% earning above 100K a year. Brave also has its own cryptocurrency BAT (= Basic Attention Token), which is used to pay its users who opt in to receive ads. Due to this, Brave users are an excellent match for DeFiChain, as its users are highly crypto savvy.
Brave offers the perfect audience, with over 50 million active daily (!) users, making it an ideal channel to promote DeFiChain.
Projects like Solana, Avalanche, Tezos and Polkadot e.g. run advertising on Brave.
Further crypto projects that actively promote their brand on Brave are:
Bybit, Binance, Crypto.com, Exodus, Bitpay, Nexo, CakeDeFi and many more!
Advertising on Brave is not as easy as on Google and there are fixed dates that you have to book. Currently, all dates are booked until January, but through a good contact we were still able to reserve a spot for 28.12.2021.
Our goal is to regularly advertise on Brave in the long run.
How will the fund be spent?
Every single DFI from this CFP will be used exclusively to fund the Brave campaign. All additional costs like graphics, web design, etc. will be paid from the existing DeFiChain Accelerator fund. This proposal does not include any profit for the team!
This campaign costs $45.000, and as such we would need 13.800 DFI ($3.26 / DFI) to fund it. If the price of DFI decreases till the payment date, we would pay the difference from the available funds of the Accelerator CFP. In case the price increases, the remaining DFI will be transferred to the Accelerator fund.
Further explanation on the Accelerator funds:
Many of you will already know that we previously received 50,000 DFI. Those funds will be actively used to pay for PR, influencers, social media ads, for the team and other community members who actively invest their time.
Here you can find the current account balance. You can track every expense.
With this CFP we want to decide together as a community which extensive marketing efforts are desired and which might be considered too expensive. Your vote counts when it comes to DeFiChain ads on the Brave browser. If this proposal gets rejected, we will continue to work and propose further marketing measures.
How does this CFP benefit the DeFiChain community?
For the long-term success of DeFiChain, it is inevitable to organize large marketing campaigns. Through such initiatives, we have the power to educate people outside our reach about DeFiChain, find new investors, increase the number of users, inspire new developers for the project and indirectly support the price.
In addition, it is essential to implement marketing campaigns for DeFiChain independently of Cake, in order to promote the blockchain itself and attract more developers and users who want to build and use DeFiChain.
