I am still extremely confused that you mix 2 completely different topics in one CFP what makes absolutely no sense. 2 in 1 with and a smokescreen over the price not clear what we buy here. NOt really professional Development Jellyfish.NETI am not technical enough to say if that is worth so much let the devs rate that and comment. Regardsing your YouTube Channel and Social Media Engagement:I repeat my Reddit comments for the readers and MN owners: Your content is GERMAN ONLY, brings zero new insights, and is in some way copying other people's work. We need English, Spanish, Russian French content, not another German channel! There are a ton of German ones those are the ones where you get your content from your “sources”: • Julian Hosp: https://www.youtube.com/c/julianhosp
So from my side, absolutely not justifiable still overpriced even you dropped von 50 k to 20k?! Sorry it's still a clear NO from my side. |
Hey Team, first of all thank you very much for going forward and promoting the DeFiChain. I can understand that you start different projects and want to start with euphoria. I think both projects are very good. YouTube is great and I have seen that you now also make English content. From a pure logic point of view, it doesn't make sense for the community to spend money on your channel because they could pay other channels that have a higher reach. I'm undecided. I will think about whether it makes sense to support YouTube channels with the Community Fund, other than the official channels. Lord Mark and Daniel can't monetize the official DeFiChain account, because it's not their own. In terms of the technical component, I'm very curious to see what that means. I've already brought this to the attention of the WebWallet team, and we'll see if we can better integrate Jellyfish as a result. I'm also having a hard time assessing what kind of possibilities this opens up. In principle, I think your ideas and your motivation are really great. I would have liked to be able to vote against YouTube, for example, but for the library. Maybe you can upload a video on YouTube, where you separate the two things a little bit, better explain who should get which money for which work. I also like the idea of hiring a graphic designer, but how much will be used for it? |
Hey dfiforever! But we'll be happy to briefly go over the new points so that the rest of the community can form an opinion as well. Jellyfish.NET:Before we started development, we got in touch with Uzyn, the lead researcher at DeFiChain. He felt this project was, and I quote "Definitely helpful“. It would also be nice if you stop spreading false information here.
1230 subscribers and 28494 viewers with over 99% like rate confirm that we definitely offer added value. Everyone can find more information in the Reddit thread as mentioned. There we answered all the feedback from the community. That's why we started it before we made the official proposal here. |
Hey Santiago, we really appreciate your feedback and would like to respond. German content is good, German and English content is better. We have changed our concept of how we produce videos, that's why our basics are easily translatable virtually in any language. Our concept is also "DeFiChain First“, which means we dedicate our time exclusively to this topic and the community and their projects. This makes us flexible and unique as a platform because we cover many different fields. You yourself are also on the move on various platforms (homepage, videos, marketing, development). We support this by sharing your work and making it available to more users, in our Weeklies for example. We don’t want to be compared with "a Youtube channel“. We would like to strictly separate that again at this point. In the Reddit thread we already talked about our vision:
We are not as good as any of these things, but combine them all together. These are all paid proposals that asked much higher amounts of DFI. Feel free to give us feedback about Jellyfish.NET and if it helps you to bring your projects forward! You, as the creator of DeFIChain WebWallet, know exactly how expensive development work is, so there is no question that a large part of the funds will go into development and graphics design. Don't worry, we won't stop, we just started. :) |

Describe the purpose:
We bring more people into the DeFiChain ecosystem. We achieve this by openly and directly serving social media niches that are currently not represented at all. In addition, we make DeFiChain more widely available by providing Jellyfish.NET, a collection of APIs and tools to build native apps on DeFiChain in .NET.
We focus on educating members and newcomers so that they can understand and then use the technology and services of DeFiChain.
How does this CFP benefit the DeFi Chain community?
We connect the community and welcome new people into the ecosystem with our various formats:
Development Jellyfish.NET
We took on the huge task of porting the DeFiChain Jellyfish SDK to .NET. Jellyfish is used by programs to communicate with DeFiChain full nodes. We do this for all the .NET developers out there, so that even more people can get access to the DeFiChain and thus develop new apps and tools for it. More than 5000 lines of code have already been ported and the Jellyfish APIs are already functional. This development is an ongoing process and also benefits from the help of the .NET community.
You can take a look here:

YouTube
DeFiChain Weekly
Every Sunday we present the DeFiChain Weekly, a recap of the previous week's happenings. We build a strong bond with the community and especially with DeFiChain projects by sharing regular updates and giving members a stage. We do this with humor and a casualness that is rarely expected in this environment. Our viewers confirm this with a like rate of over 98% We also produce videos on current topics that are often requested by the community.
DeFiChain Basics
We also publish DeFiChain Basics, these offer people without much technical knowledge an easy-to-understand and graphically presented explanation around the topic of DeFiChain.
Twitter
Twitter is about connecting with key people and other community projects to share and support each other. This platform is for community engagement. It is an important newsfeed for us as well as for all our followers.
Instagram
DeFiChain is quite underrepresented on Instagram. We have been sharing daily posts about DeFiChain for about 2 months. We post weekly facts, figures, explanations of terms and use regular stories to keep in touch with our community.
Spotify
We would like to make our Basics series available to as many people as possible. That's why we recently started offering the Basics and the Weeklies as podcasts.
Spreadshirt
We created a non-profit shop on Spreadshirt. A new design is being added every week. We currently have 8 designs online and 32 products have already been sent out to our users.
What’s next?
How will the fund be spent?
We have already done a lot of social media, marketing and development work of 300+ hours and will do even more to do our part for the #RoadTo50.
The requested DFIs in total are a reimbursement for the time of the whole DeFiChain.info team including the new graphic designer and to pay running server and infrastructure costs.
