Hi John-Gee! No, I just signed up for github. So far I've always been a silent reader and I'm more active in the youtube comments. A YouTube video from Germany gave me the idea of doing a CFP. As soon as I'm home the day after tomorrow I could upload and present some prototypes. If you want to see something right now: Upon request, I created a video for MoonToken, which is currently on Youtube. But I find it less representative because it is very dark with very poor quality and was created with extremely little computing power. Klick I wasn't paid for it either, so it wasn't a big deal. The People were just really nice, but the project was at a standstill |

I have now added the Reddit link to my post. With the new hardware, I can use high-resolution textures, add very complex particle effects, and generally represent movement better. |

Thanks! :) In this picture I'm using "eevee", but actually I learned 3d-modeling with Cycles, which is based on Cuda. This means that more realistic effects and textures are possible. But it also requires a lot more computing power. |

What hardware exactly ill you need? Will you sell it once you are finished and return the money to the fund? |

Hi :) I actually thought about renting the hardware, in this case I could cover the costs myself. So I could already offer something and do a CFP if at all if I have something really big going on. I need a lot of RAM and a lot of disk storage. And two powerful Nvidia graphics cards. Depending on what the DFI price is, I would buy the RTX 3080 ti or RTX 3090 non-TI or TI. I would prefer the 24 GB VRAM. In Germany you can forget about renting. The hardware itself cannot be rented here and the "workstations" offered do not have nearly enough power, especially for the large amount of money. After the project is complete I would not sell the hardware. The videos I promise in the CFP are 100% created with the best of my knowledge and belief. But it shouldn't stop here. I would like to set up an animation studio that keeps creating new stories and videos with the help and ideas of the community. My idea is to always capture the current situation and give the viewer a beautiful and informative video. I also want to produce many, many small videos for Youtube Shorts and Tiktok so that DFI goes viral faster. |

Hi :) Thank you so much for your kind answer, so glad that some people are sharing my idea and how amazing it could be! High quality samples are difficult with my current hardware, but I would like to finance a mid-range graphics card and 16gb RAM in installments, This way I could create better prototypes and samples. Unfortunately I can't do tje finance in installment until October because of my work situation. Had high hopes for the CFP but can understand not winning it as I didn't deliver that much. So how would it work with Community Fund? Do you really think that's possible? It would definitely relieve my wallet! I love Defichain, but I can't get my hands on that much. |

Describe the purpose
Hello friends,
my goal is to create a small animation series of 5 episodes for the Defichain, which should increase the recognition value of the brand. It takes me about a month to create the videos. I would like to upload the episodes to YouTube at weekly intervals.
For this I would model a small, cute jellyfish in a beautiful seascape.
To the story:
In a dark, cold environment, a small, cute jellyfish is born. It swims around blindly, insecure and without a recognizable goal. Swims past various symbols that faded and broke over time. Until it finds a comfortable light and swims toward it.
There he sees the Defichain symbol for the first time, which lights up in beautiful pink and gives him warmth. He cautiously approaches the symbol until it lights up even brighter and nestles against him.
The Jellyfish's journey begins.
How will the fund be spent?
I would have to sell most of the Defichain I received directly in order to buy the appropriate hardware. So I only ask for what I really need.
The biggest cost factor is the hardware. For this I would spend about 3,800 USD.

How does this CFP benefit the DeFiChain community?
I would like to give the Defichain a different recognition value than other coins.
An animation series with a beautiful message has a completely different effect than dry texts and is a nice alternative to normal YouTube videos.
Because the videos are linked to the current and past events of Defichain, the viewer internalizes our values in a different, effective way.
In addition, although many would like to see it differently, crypto is not always rational, but also very emotional. People in this industry often invest in feelings and beliefs rather than sophisticated systems. DefiChain is one of the greatest in its class and I'd like to bring the emotional in here.
Additionally, I want to mention that my animations will be rendered in good quality and high resolution. They are welcome to be used as NFT by the community.
